Sparkling button-down shirt

One of my favourite stores in Berlin is 'colours', a second-hand shop located in the Bergmannstraße in Kreuzberg. It's a mix of expensive designer clothes, normal-priced vintage and really really cheap second-hand clothing. One kilo is about 15 euros, which means that most shirts are about 1-2 euros. Half a year ago I bought a white men's button-down shirt there. I cut off one sleeve but I was too lazy to hem them. Then I had the idea of adding rhinestones and gems and this made me restarting the project. I finally finished my sparkling button-down cut-off shirt.

Leather meets Chiffon

Since I always loved the combination of heavy fabrics with sheer fabrics, I decided to give it a try. I also love black chiffon because it's the perfect mix of  feminine lightness and mysterious darkness. In the end, I made something of a leather jacket with chiffon sleeves. I'm quite happy with the result.

Black Lace Shirt

A few weeks ago I had my first shooting in some self-made clothes with my sister as photographer. As you can see, it took place in an old brewery in Schöneweide, Berlin.
When I found leftover black lace in my beloved 'fabric-treasure' I just had to start sewing this long-sleeved and completely transparent shirt. I prefer wearing a plain black top underneath but you could also wear nothing but a black bra or a bandeau underneath.

Be inspired by Lucas Sponchiado

Inspired by the female explorer and the India of colonial England, the Belgian fashion designer Lucas Sponchiado won the The Public Palais de Tokyo/Villa Noailles Award with his graphic and feminine 'Out of Vacuum' womenswear collection.
I love the way he structures his creations and the geometrical details in his work.

Cut Outs

WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Dress (e.g. this), scissors and courage!
Hopefully I'm going to find courage and time to make my own cut-out dress soon.
